SBCX is also funded by the Tri-County Rail Authority, Tri-County Department of Transportation, Union Pacific, and BNSF; SBCX only operates the Red Line at this time. The trip you will take on any of our SBCX trains will surly be a great one. Our rider's have only said the best things about our train crew. Some travel for business, some for just traveling and seeing America!

The Red Line is SBCX's only route at the moment but there is talks between the executives and the contributors that possible expansions are underway. Those route are said to be named the Blue line and Green Line. These are said to be connected by using the Union Pacific Diamond in Fiddletown. Though a final date has not been released yet on when these new lines will open, we will make sure all of our riders are well aware of our expanding service.

From the Planning Department

High speed Rail: SBCX is always looking for the best of everything; whether it's railroad equipment, crew member's or even station's. Talks have been made with American companies that produce high speed electric trains that could eventually lead to high speed rail transit through the SBCX route. Though these claims are official, no progression has occurred with the High speed Rail Project.

Expansions: ARBX is also looking at buying different Rail Lines throughout the country. ARBX has talked with numerous other Federal owned rail lines to see about letting ARBX take control. We do not want to make any claims of buying out rail lines public at this time. For more information please visit the Arbor Lines website.

SBCX Expansions: Two New Routes on the SBCX system will be introduced at a later time. There has already been test runs and UP approval for the future service down the coast and through the McGraw Mountains. The lines will be called the Blue and Green lines. Further service is being considered and is being refered to as the Yellow Line.

History

The Beginning:

The Red Line was SBCX's first route established. It became open to public riding on May 12th 2012; the 5th Annual National Train Day. What a way to inaugurate a new commuter service. The first train left San Gabriel Station at 4:00 a.m with varrious VIPs including the CEO of Arbor Lines, Peter Hochgraf; and the Secartary of Transportation for the San Gabriel Valley. The Conductor yelled over the airwaves "Highball SBCX 701 on signal indication!". After two taps on the horn the Engineer (Travis McAdams) fired back at him and said "Copy, Highball 701 on Clear signal indication" Then the first revenue train started to roll on down the tracks toward Richmond Station. It was a successful run, they reached all the stations on time and the crew even had time to grab a decent lunch to celebrate during the layover in Richmond. Today this still stand's with no reported derailment's or injuries, SBCX still roll's on with excellent rider satisfaction on every trip.
